HOUSTON — One of the many techniques being used in Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ recovery in Houston is what’s called music therapy, a practice that’s helping her relearn to mouth words by having her sing.
But it’s also helping the youngest of patients at another local hospital.
While Daniel Lopez has lived at Children’s Memorial Hermann for over a year now, he still has a smile for his music therapy sessions.
His mother, Marcela Trujillo, says after a week of music therapy her son could sit up longer and and was more responsive.
Those reactions are huge milestones.
